my analysis (sorry for the grammatical/spelling errors, wrote this for a friend at 5 AM): "I think it's about a guy who is in love with a woman who leaves him, as evidenced by the lyrics in I Love You, as well as the implication of suicide at the end of the video for it the first video portrays the man in "I Love You" as a child. the people in the first video chasing the child represent the man's fears the second video continues in this vein: "Tomorrow is another day And you won’t have to hide away You’ll be a man, boy! But for now it’s time to run, it’s time to run!" he knows that somehow, eventually, he'll "grow" to be okay, but that day isn't today the third video seems to be him realizing he can't run from these thoughts forever, so he "grows up" hence the dead child in the intro for the video and decides to wash away his fears by killing himself, either metaphorically or literally, not sure yet though why the priest turns to stone at the end of the video is beyond me at the moment" |
