Halcyon- Denoting a period of time in the past that was idyllically happy and peaceful. It keeps on repeating 'its gonna be better, its gonna be better' symbolising where the couple are right now is symbolising a period time in the past that was happy and peaceful even if it doesn't seem like it. |

In my opinion, I think this song is about somebody who is feeling very vulnerable and unsure of themselves. I think it could also be interpreted as Marina singing to herself but also singing about herself (you're vulnerable- to herself, i'm vulnerable- about herself). It's like stop being so ridiculous, you can't have of failing holding you back and you're just one person. |
