First of all whan I listen to this song I can sense her feeling blue and sort of dissapointed and hurt by somebody. I just sense that. It can't be just for no reason. It's like she was hurt by some people (accountants indeed?) and now she's having her time with her friends in her world of parties, sort of indulging or self-compensating, getting back her feeling of self-worth and power which her money provide. Also she's feeling sort of dumbfounded from all that shining and glamour and cash pouring up and down in the nightclubs. It's when she sings all I see is signs. And she probably looks at money of nightclubs as a parallel of money she has to deal with in her big life, so she feels lonely and insecure. And so she just decides to rush into this nightlife as a way to wash all those thoughts away. But she's in fact still really hurt and empty from those worries. Maybe I'm totally wrong about the meaning but I just feel it this way very strongly... |
