| To me, this song is about loss, and not being able to move on because you remember it all. Taylor said about this song, "I think the reason why loss is so sad, is because it was all once so good.", and that just sums it up for me. Everything about this song is remembering the story right from the very beginning, when everything seemed so perfect and right, to the very end where you break up and things break down. | |

To me, this song is about the conflict you get in the mind when you really want to get back in contact with someone, but you know you really shouldn't because it'll just make you hurt more. You sit by the phone, and part of you wants to pick up and call them because you just wish you could run to them and have them there to comfort you. But the rest of you won't let you do it because you know you'll just be risking another goodbye. You're saving yourself a massive heartache and replacing it with a slightly smaller one by not running to them. ♥ |
