To an extent, I think this song is about how a person knows what he is doing is right, and will eventually benefit his lover. Even though she is currently unhappy, he thinks that she will be happy after he completes his quest. Whether he is correct is a mystery, but this song is from his point of view, thinking he is doing the correct thing. |

I always thought it said "tabs" instead of taps. In which case, 2D would have been paying for everyone's drinks, and they felt like they could drink whatever they want. 2D is telling it from their point of view, pleading the point that he feels that people walk all over him, and use him. |
