The song is about a personal experience Rivers Cuomo (Lead Singer) had when he attended Harvard between recording the Blue Album and Pinkerton. He fell in love with a girl in his class and did not realize that the Pink Triangle patch she had on her sleeve was a symbol for lesbianism. He is simply talking about how he made plans on dating and possibly settling down with her until he realized she was gay. |
