Ryan O'Neal – From the Ground Up Lyrics 13 years ago
This song is a song of reflection. The singer, now having grown and matured (he possibly became a father), realizes the importance of family, home, and becoming a father. No feeling can compare to that of familial love, hence they take pictures to remember the feelings of love they exude for each other; for such emotions, familial closeness, and mutual love is unfortunately ethereal. I added this song to songmeanings.com because I think it has a message we can all learn from.

José González – Heartbeats Lyrics 13 years ago
Hey everyone. I have read a lot of posts, and I have to say I disagree as to the interpriation of the following stanza::

"To call for hands of above
To lean on
Wouldn't be good enough
For me, no"

I believe is an indication that the singer is calling for the comfort of God. "to lean on" can be equated to "for support". However, the singer does not believe the mental comfort one would get from such an act (such as prayer or even faith) is "good enough" -- not after he the intense physical love he had shared.
