| Many people claim that this song is about asking for sex. I guess that could be half right. The song is saying how the phrase "I love you" is overused to the point it no longer means anything, yet people still use it and think it will fix things or make their significant other feel loved. What the song is saying is "you say you love me, but you never show it". That doesn't necessarily mean sex. It could mean going out of your way to help or be there for them, a kiss on the cheek, a surprise visit at work, cuddling up on the couch, putting them before yourself. That's what they are trying to get at. Now could this also mean sex, but that's not the only thing that shows a guy/girl that you care. | |
