This is a song about a couple who enjoy "tonight" -- tonight being the now or perhaps, the "romantic" stage of a relationship. Limerence is another term for it. They realize things may/may not work out probably because of specific circumstances -- in this case, I think they're both weary re love and are, in essence, just winging it ("plans don't include me"). However, they enjoy each other's company and are willing to enjoy tonight and deal with "tomorrow" another day. "Tomorrow" can also represent the phase of a relationship when the work starts -- when you start to see your partner's flaws aka "the thrill is gone" stage.

This song is about the feeling one man has when he is in the arms of a woman who is supportive and caring. A woman who makes a man feel more awake and alive ("she wakes me") and allows him to feel like he is larger than life is the type of woman who eventually makes him feel comfortable and "takes him back home" -- home meaning love. It makes him feel like he is just where he is supposed to be. |

Rochey1, I am so impressed with your interpretation. You considered the strength/forcefulness of their voices during the song -- that's something I've never thought of. This song really resonates to me and I wish I can find extensive reviews just like yours for the other songs that I'm interested in.
