Wow, between her voice,Anton's squealing guitar, and these lyrics, I can see why they call it heroin rock. Like that song "Killing me softly with his song " , except this one outright stabs you to death. Can't get enough of this epic collaboration. |

The line is "don't wanna be on top of your list OF NEVER BEING PROPERLY KISSED" which goes along with the theme of not wanting to be just a booty call, sex friend but having a meaningful relationship. Its funny how one lyric site gets the wrong lyrics, then they all spread the same wrong lyrics. |

Trust me ,the user and abuser comes in the male version too. This is the good looking, charming SOB, once they know they've got you, you're screwed.
The Black Angels...the best band since the 60's. Can't wait to see them in Chicago at the Vic in April. |

One of the best bands since "76 if you ask me. A lot of my friends are older, boomers, artists and musicians. When I played this cd at a party, the response was immense, they creamed in their jeans ! They came running over to me going "Who IS this? Where did you FIND them?" I love this song, it just tells it like it is, straight up " you came into our home, and you took our KID" When will people wake up and realize how they are being manipulated and lied to by the elites that run the world? |

I read this song on two levels. On the personal level , he is coaxing a lover to open up and be vulnerable to real love , found in a puddle of water, the sign of emotionals. Someone who has been hurt , but he is trying to help them get past that.
On a more mundane level, he is talking about the dove of peace in the world. Is it hollow ? WE NEED it to fly , now more than ever.
Maybe I'm over reading, but take it in context with the other anti-war songs they have out. I love this band, and think they are one of the best bands to come along in the past 40 years. |
