Placebo – A Million Little Pieces Lyrics 11 years ago
To me, this song is about the narrator having depression and how this affects someone very close to him. Despite their best attempts to help him, he ends up killing himself because he can't take life with this illness anymore, making this song a suicide note to them.

The first two and the fourth verses could be about how his life has become since he became depressed and what that does to him. The person close to him wants him to get better and tries to support him. But with things like 'Look at me, there's no denying' he's trying to tell them that it won't get better.

'Leaving this worry town' to me means that he ended the miserable life he was living.
Lines like 'Please no grieving, my love, understand?' could mean that he doesn't want them to feel guilty or sad, because he doesn't blame them for what he did to himself in the end. Maybe he even feels grateful for what they tried to do, but it didn't work for him anymore.

Gorillaz – Revolving Doors Lyrics 11 years ago
If I remember correctly it's stated somewhere that the inspiration for this song were the revolving doors in front of a hotel in Texas where the group was staying. Apparently this made 2D realize how far away from home he was and how out of place he felt.

Eminem – Kim Lyrics 11 years ago
I just listened to this for the first time and I was legitimately scared while listening to it. So much anger flowing out of this track, it's terrifying, but very honest.

I was just wondering something about the part where he talks about the four-year old boy with the slit throat, the double homicide and the suicide with no note. Who is he referring to? Is it something he did to Kim's affaire's family? Or is it something he's planning on doing to his own family?

Kaiser Chiefs – Meanwhile in Heaven Lyrics 11 years ago
I am the one who submitted these lyrics, and reading back on it now I've discovered that a lot was changed after I submitted it. There are things in there that I do not recall typing and are just the wrong lyrics.

For the correct lyrics, see this video on the Kaiser Chiefs's YouTube channel:

Madness – Cardiac Arrest Lyrics 11 years ago
I think this song is trying to tell you to not stress too much and view your life positively. As it sounds like the man in the song died of a stress-induced heart attack from being too rushed

Foals – Cassius Lyrics 11 years ago
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I found this on wikipedia:

In a video interview with NME, lead singer Yannis Philippakis stated that the track was "the most straightforward song on the album. It's trying to deal with somebody being two-faced or, even to the extreme, someone having a split personality. The reason for why it's called Cassius - Cassius Clay who became Mohammad Ali, it's almost like there's two people in one and Cassius, the conspirator who instigated the assassination of Julius Caesar, who is a very literal symbol of being two faced".

The source for this was deleted, but it makes sense to me.

Kaiser Chiefs – The Factory Gates Lyrics 11 years ago
Hi, I am the one who originally wrote this down earlier today from ear. After some checking I was pretty sure I wrote down the correct lyrics. However, after submitting, the lyrics got changed. I don't know how this happened, but these are in no way the lyrics to The Factory Gates.
I have already submitted an edit, and I hope the problem gets solved. In the mean-time, here are the original lyrics

So this is the age of the train
All aboard through the labour exchange
My mind is running away with me

I'm a sharp one's sales campaign
Trapped behind yellow cellophane
My mind is running away with

Everything I ever learned
Comes knocking at my head
What you thought was way
Too much is not enough

They tell you day after day
To make your way through the factory gates
What you make on the factory floor
You take straight to the company store

They tell you day after day
To make your way through the factory gates
'Til they can't break your will anymore
You are contractually tied to death's door

I never left the town I was made in
Wicker's World, Michael Palin
My mind is running away with me

I record every one of my feelings
Like trying bread bags onto the railings
My mind is running away with

Every one you ever loved
Is knocking down your door
What you thought was way
Too much is not enough

They tell you day after day
To make your way through the factory gates
What you make on the factory floor
You take straight to the company store

They tell you day after day
To make your way through the factory gates
'Til they can't break your will anymore
You are contractually tied to death's door

Not enough, not enough
I want wider than this island
Not enough, not enough
I want brighter than a diamond

And everything you've ever known
Is in these city walls
What you thought was way
Too much, is not enough, it's not enough

But when you thought
"It's way too much"
It's not enough

They tell you day after day
To make your way through the factory gates
What you make on the factory floor
You take straight to the company store

They tell you day after day
To make your way through the factory gates
'Til they can't break your will anymore
You are contractually tied to death's door

'Til they can't break your will anymore
You are contractually tied to death's door

Róisín Murphy – Ramalama (Bang Bang) Lyrics 13 years ago
I just realized something about this little bit of lyrics:

If you can be good you’ll live forever
If you’re bad, you’ll die when you die

If this song is really about music, then this little bit means that if a song is good people will remember it and keep replaying it. (like Mozart's music or the hits from the 70's) But if a song is bad it will wither away and be forgotten.
