Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young – Wooden Ships Lyrics 13 years ago
I thought the same about the Civil War and it is probably because of the way they dressed on the cover of their Deja Vu Record. The Ship referance is David Crosby's Scooner the Mayan. I hear it is for sale in Santa Barbara,Ca for $750,000. His Autobiography is interesting. It tells a great deal about his childhood in Santa Barbara and going from Riches to rags to riches to rags to prison and back to riches.Very good book if you like their music and the entire 60's music revolution

They wrote the song on Crosby's Scooner. I remeber hearing one of them say something about Aliens and UFO's before they played it.It didn't seem to make sense but it is just a song. There really doesn't have to be a meaning. There is a lot more to be said about sound then words when you are writing music and their sound was beautiful. Maybe that was at Woodstock or their album 4 way St

The Beatles – Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds Lyrics 13 years ago
John and Yoko were in the Playboy Interview the same month that he was murdered. I believe it was Dec 1980.I think that interview may have got him killed as he told the whole world exactly where he lived and what his songs did or didn't mean.He talks about that song and many others in the interview.I thought he said it was a finger painting but at any rate it was Julians Art work. The words are pretty psychodelic. He also talks about writing songs to make people think you mean one thing when you mean something different. He noted Bob Dylan in that type of song writing. He also said that sometimes he was just trying to make words ryme and they had no meaning at all.

Pierce the Veil – Fast Times At Claremont High Lyrics 13 years ago
It is Clairemont High School in San Diego. Not to be confused with Claremont High School in Calremont California. I don't know who this band is but if they went too Mission Bay High School is about two miles down the hill from Clairemnot. They got the words from the fact that Cameron Crowe was allowed to go to Clairemont HS posing as a student after he graduated from the University of San Diego HS.He did this to get material to write his book Fast Times at Ridgemont High that we all know the movie. He was also a jounalist for Rolling Stone Magazine when he was 16 and toured with The Allman Brothers Band for three weeks interviewing the entire crew. The movie Almost Famous was based on that.
Another fact you may not know is that Frank Zappa also attended Mission Bay HS
