I'm not really sure this song making reference to Anne Frank, maybe the Holocaust in general but I feel that it's simply about how cruel and terrible things happen in life and we just have to keep progressing even if it's hard and unfair. |

I love this song! It's perfect! The first time I heard it though I kind of imaged the meaning being about his mother like he really wished she was a certain way and took different pieces and "glued" them together to make a perfect mother because his was not a good person, died, or he just didn't know what she was like. The "She's calling me to come to her and curl inside her womb" part furthered my idea and the rest of the song seemed to be him fighting with the painful truth and his imagination. Now that I listen to it though, it really does seem like it's about a heroin addiction. |
