Enter Shikari – Tribalism Lyrics 12 years ago
"Not content with a doubt about the knowledge of who's up there
Quick! give him a name, a trident, and a chair"-gotta be religious, I think it's saying that just because people don't know something they create gods to fill in the gaps, that's why he says it after mentioning the discovery of gravity, cause at one point we didn't know about that, it was god, but now it's science, if that makes sense

Gallows – Misery Lyrics 12 years ago
Referring to misery as a she could be a play on words, like relationships bring misery or something, just a thought

Lower Than Atlantis – Another Sad Song Lyrics 13 years ago
Such a moving song, it kind of has Mike thinking about the time when he was around the age I am so I can sort of relate to bits of it, but I can see how it was different for him growing up at a different time

Biffy Clyro – The Captain Lyrics 13 years ago
I'm probably so far off but I think he uses horses as a reference to drugs a lot, for example I think the song born on a horse has a lot about drugs, so the line "i can't ride your horse" could be something to do with not taking them for some reason, there's a lot of other interpretations tbh I have a few ideas bouncing around haha but not sure which could be true

Biffy Clyro – Born on a Horse Lyrics 13 years ago
interpretations of this song are so interesting, after reading them I'd say I agree mostly with it having something to do with drugs or alcohol but I don't think that's necessarily all it is

Biffy Clyro – Machines Lyrics 13 years ago
I think it has to be about some form of depression, I know Simon has been through it from a very honest and interesting recent interview with kerrang! I think the line "I'm not savouring life" is linked to a lot of things like not talking to the rest of the band and friends and family and then as he recovered he realised he was perhaps taking them for granted and missed them really.
