This song is about alien life and the role of humanity in this universe. "The magicians are out of breath 52 years of tricks and lies Hiding the monuments of mars With a bunny in a hat" the monuments of Mars are a group of formations in the Cydonia region of Mars (also appears in the lyrics: "Truth lies further from the sun Underneath Cydonia's sands Let go of your paradigm") And I guess the magicians are NASA or some space researching scientists who have been trying to hold back information about these artificial seeming formations on Mars, which could be proof of alien life. "We've never been alone Alone... as just one nest, in just one tree" - pretty much straightforward, Earth is just one planet with life on it out of many Also the Quantum Symphony is how human live create a huge symphony in the universe, imagine all of our sadness, happiness, love, hate being interconnected and each of our lives being a note in a grand symphony of the universe. "For a father passing to his son For a priest talking to a man For a man talking to a grave We are the strings of the quantum symphony" The most beautiful part of this song in my opinion is this: "...but what makes that we'll never be like them Is the fact that we have these emotions The fact that we can stand strong in front of Divinities, in tears and fists, and defy Them shouting: ''You'll never take our wings''... because WE, mortals, have nothing in this world... but our love" Pretty much straightforward in meaning that we should defy all divnities that try to stand above us, because we, humans are destined to walk our own way. "We live and die spinning in a wheel Now look me in the eyes and tell me you never felt there has to be more to this life Tell me we're only flesh rotting in an ocean of time We live and die spinning in a wheel, without ever knowing who we are" This one is about how we close our eyes to all of this, and that we are destined to become something more, something grander, than what humanity is right now. We all should know, and feel that this is not the way we should be. |
