I agree with what a few people said here. I think it's about a dark/jaded perception of relationships in life. Sweet dreams aren't real, but we allow ourselves to believe in them. Sometimes we even are living the dream, until obviously, we realize. It's too sweet to be real. Couldn't possibly disagree with that. Every human is made the same, essentially, wherever you go and travel to. Everybody has wants, needs, dreams, ambitions... Everyone is looking for something. Relationship-wise, it *has* to do with interaction. Some of them want to use you. They want a kind lover, they want attention, they want someone they can confess to, a friend... You can be that someone, but does it really matter if it's *you* or anyone else? Some of them want to be used by you, as such. They want to have meaning to someone, they want to matter, they want to be the 'someone' of someone else. Some of them want to abuse you, some of them want to be abused. See this however you want, people can be compulsive, it can be about a deep need, it could be sexual, it could be about feeling exploited in any possible way. In the end, we are expendable. In the end, we just fulfill a role. There's nothing magical, unique or sweet about it. So hold your head up, and keep your head up, don't dwell on it. Move on with life, knowing that it's how relationships are always going to be. But inevitably, you might forget and want to believe in another sweet dream... |
