I think this song basically says it in its name. This song is special to me because my step brother loved this band and just recently died of cancer. When I heard this song and really listened to it it reminded me of him. A lot of the lyrics make sense in that sort of situation: "So have you ever been caught in a sea of despair? And your moment of truth Is the day that you say 'I'm not scared'." "If I told you that you're not alone And I show you this is where you belong" "Shine a light in the dark Let me see where you are 'Cause I'm not gonna leave you behind" If I actually listen to the song I can't help but shed some tears. Just typing this up gets me chocked up. |
