"Im married to the Devil in the City of Angels" hasnt got to do anything with J3Ts wife , but with his lifestyle in Los Angeles with all his Glamour and misery at once "So come all you wicked to the world of the empty I know I need it all, so baby don't tempt me" The emptyness is shown through the second sentence , but I cant think of any special use for the wicked in the song^^ "You can see God, when I take my mask off" In this phrase J3T wants to show that everyone in Society is his own God that everyone firstly cares about himself. J-Dogs verse is coming tonight :) Sorry but im in a bit of stress right now so I can always only partly put my interpretation up^^ |

This is my opinion and Interpretation , if you have others please post them , im interested This Interpretation could be long so if you dont want to take your Time scroll down ;) Firstly the Chorus: Pretty obvious the chorus is about losing yourself to fit into Society, "made from broken parts " means that people dont act as who they are but as what society wants them to be , the "broken" can be taken for ones character "We are broken from the start" refers to the "Indoctrination" everyone gets from beginning on , so that he fits into society "Our hearts were beating in the Dark" ,our true self may exist , but we dont show it. J3Ts Verse: Very strong , starts with "If you can loose it all then Welcome to broadway" , which obviously refers to the Theatre ( of our life) "losing it all" means losing your personality , your character , so that youfit ( yeah I know I repeat it over and over again^^) "Silicone Dreams" are fake dreams that correspond to the image society has of a "normal" man The next 2 verses are just enlargments for the first ones "Its hotter here in hell but its getting real dark" is (in my opinion) J3Ts style to talk about all the misery and corruption that still exists , but that society wants to hide , so its getting "Dark".At one part of the Video you can see Danny watching TV in a shady room , you can see how the TV only shows things that happen in other countries , but never about the misery in which he and his daughter are living , this is an exact mirror to this part of the verse. "So all you sick, and the bitterness of the lonely To all you overdosed and you miles of coke fiends And every step, another step, you’re walking on my dreams And every breath, another breath you’re breathing when I breathe" This time he adresses himself to everyone , the perfectly fitting and the rejects of society , he tells them that they are all humans and all breathin the same air, and then he tells them that his dream , his wishes are completely rejected by society , so that they arent manageable for him alone. I agree about all these references , although I didnt read Miltons full text ^^ But on the other side I think J3T also added another meaning to it , like f.example you could see humanity as all as victim from God "Take me and make me , weaken and save me" this line (im atheist so dont be offended) shows off that God ( mainly in the old Testament) appears as a savior to humans even though he mostly brought misery upon them |

| Well... how shall I put it ? NO? HU (at least the Funny Man) are serious with most of the things they rap about (well I hope they exagerated a bit with the Bitches ;)) and even in a new video you can see when Funny smokes his weed. For the rest of them , they calmed down a lot with the drinking , but in my opinion most things they rap are meant this way | |
