In GTA San Andreas, sometimes from high flying plane i got out for free fall.. if u open up parachutes too soon, u get stuck to fall slowly, even may take long 5-6 minutes long, or much longer, as i just restarted game from the last save.. :P This song parachutes, is just like same.. In love, he opened up parachute too soon, he has nothing to do now except waiting.. waiting till he can touch the ground, another option can be getting rid of the parachute and die, but thats not any solution.. So he will wait, wait, wait, like the person high above with parachutes on his back...

A famous poem by one of the renowned poet of our country, have similarity with this song, written about the time Pakistani Army assault on erstwhile East Pakistan (Now Bangladesh) আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র নির্মলেন্দু গুণ পুলিশ স্টেশনে ভিড়,আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র জমা নিচ্ছে শহরের সন্দিগ্ধ সৈনিক।সামরিক নির্দেশে ভীত মানুষের শটগান,রাইফেল,পিস্তল এবং কার্তুজ,যেন দরগার স্বীকৃত মানত,টেবিলে ফুলের মতো মস্তানের হাত। আমি শুধু সামরিক আদেশ অমান্য করে হয়ে গেছি কোমল বিদ্রোহী,প্রকাশ্যে ফিরছি ঘরে অথচ আমার সঙ্গে হৃদয়ের মতো মারাত্তক একটি আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র,আমি জমা দেইনি। A poor translation by me: Firearms Nirmolendo Goon Crowd in Police Station of the Town Skeptical soldiers are taking back the firearms army-frightened ppl are giving away shotguns, rifles, pistols, cartilage like they give in as in "Dorga" (A religious tomb where ppl donates foods,money) But by refuting the military announcement I became a soft rebel, returned home with no fear as i have so strong weapon with me Like heart, which i haven't given them away... when u sit up to analyze any lyrics of chris martin, u think, oh, its so easy.. but when u get down.. u feel amazed.. that man is something.. lyric writing is not easy... the song connects with mylo xyloto, if u synchronize the song with mylo xyloto as intro, u don't feel that the song just suddenly started... 'Do you ever get the feeling that you're missing the mark?' is a question thrown to us? 'I struggle with the feeling that my life isn't mine' is the line for all the workers in the living world who r doing this just for money, which is so hard.. so cold.. "See the arrow that they shot, trying to tear us apart Take the fire from my belly and the beat from my heart" might be linking to this world where all the youth fire of creativity and romanticism is extinguished by the cruel reality, by the upper class people enjoying our labor... "Still I won't let go"- but still we won't let this happen.. "you use your heart as a weapon And it hurts like heaven" there is no true weapon like heart... most powerful weapon in this world.. but if u use it, it will hurt the bad ppl, but that "heart" weapon can bring heaven in this corrupt world... "we’re writing and saying Don't let them take control"- it reminds anit-Vietnam war campaign in usa in late sixties, chris martin trying to inspire us to defend by writing and saying, by using the weapon called heart.. " I feel a little bit nervous, Yes, I feel nervous and I cannot relax"- Yes, this trying will make us nervous, and we may not relax. They may come to get us.. its little frightening of course.. I just don't get this.. ok, previous songs were full of acoustic sounds, but i m happy coldplay changing a bit.. its all about melody, and when u tune on mylo xyloto u start to feel excited... I think you like songs like parachutes, amsterdam, a message, what if, til kingdom come, trouble etc. but u hv to admit that as band grows up they r bound to sound differently.. man! he got gwyneth in this journey of 15 years of coldplay, having cute babies, how can u want to him to write songs about never ending solitude and so on.. If u truly love coldplay, u must have trust for them, as long as they are alive, they will be amusing us.. ^_^
