I frankly don't know why it's called '42147' because It's about April 19th, 1943, the time Albert Hoffman ingested LSD-25 for the first time in human history. It's based on the first-hand written account of the experience... There is in fact even a point in Hoffman's account where he said "Another world... was this the transition?"... Just as it does in the song.
