TV on the Radio – Blues From Down Here Lyrics 13 years ago
This song is about there being suffering and struggle everywhere. I interpret this song to be about two people who have suffered and helped eachother in part by sharing their experiences of suffering, and thru comfort. Even with that help, their personal suffering as well as the suffering of the world, is too much - "there's nothing left to do but stomp my feet and shout about it."

It could be that they are lovers or friends, but there are so many references to a mother figure in it, that it makes me wonder if it is about his mother, or a potential mother of his child, who had a tough decision to make around the pregnancy and chose to do it despite the difficulty. It sounds like he has some resentment about his existence, in this struggle, but is pushing on.

He's still waiting for that savior figure, who he sees as female.

This song raises the questions:
What do you do when there is so much suffering? How do we help eachother?

One of my favorite songs ever.
