That is an interesting interpretation, although I think you may be overthinking it. To me, the meaning of the song is much more straightforward. I think the post below by SlytherinWolf is accurate. The "one's for his wife, one's for the one who loved him at night" means that there are two cadillacs driving in the procession for his funeral. His wife is in one, his mistress is in the other. If they were dead in a hearse themselves, they wouldn't be able to lay a rose down or throw dirt into the ground. By "he's not the only one with a secret to hide", it means that the women also had a secret - that they killed him.
