SO I basically just had an epiphany about this song in the car and I screamed out loud because holy hell Luke Lalonde is an amazing songwriter. But yeah I'm pretty sure "Antoine" is referring to the character Antoine Roquentin from the book Nausea by Sartre? It's a really famous book about existentialism, and yeah it just makes sense, because of the context of the story and how it plays into the song |

Yeah, I agree, I'm pretty sure it's "Hoping girls and god would make my heart beat faster", it just makes more sense. Also, yeah I'm pretty sure it's about homophobia, because at this concert I went to, Menno was like, "This song's about homophobia" |
