At the start of this song its a love that only happens once in a life time. I can relate to this song so much Because it happened to me. Here is my two cents on it: From the ice, the blinding white A schooner's gliding through the night Angry sea, we sail alone At last I'm going home I'm going home..... 1)in the sea of faces and people he sees the one the woman of his dreams love at 1st sight. Angry sea= people and friends trying to rip them apart. but they stand strong and say together= we sail alone. At last Im going home= he nows he has founn his love the woman he will marry Phantoms lured me off my course Tried to kill the man I was You sent a guiding light Lead me to my lavish bride 2)Phantoms lured me off my course= thats easy fears for what happened in the past scared him away and tried to change the man he was and how he loves this woman. She showed him the way helped him face his fears and brought him back to her. Which is very hard for both people to do. He pushed her away but she stayed strong and didnt give up. Which lead him back to her. Now his wife! To the crag that braves the tide To the beacon in the night I trust in you (and) I'm watching over you To the souls that crouch in fear To the ghosts that disappear I trust in you (and) I'm watching over you 3) to the crag is the relationship that they have and the beacon is her she still has to guide him from time to time which all woman have to do. But he trusts her and lets her show him the way and lets her help him. Now here is the messeage he is sending to the people... To the souls(people) that get scared, your fears will go away if you let them. Which is very true but often to late. Seasons change, this time for good Be this message understood You're the house I occupy You're the only reason why I'm still alive 4) Seasons change this time for good= moods, fears, faults change and he is not going back to the way he was. Be this message understood= please understand I know what I want.
