| The way I see it, this song who has had a bad experience in the area of love in the past, and this made her shut off the romantic part of herself. When she's getting close to getting into another relationship, she immediately starts analyzing the situation and comparing and contrasting it with the heartbreak she went through (hence the robot imagery), and she can't just let herself feel love. However, she doesn't want to be doing this, and she wants him to help her remember what love was like before the heartbreak. This is hinted at in the chorus, the second verse ("Show me how to love, show me where to touch, teach me how to smile") and in the words spoken in the background of the bridge: "Memory damaged". | |
