i think its about the Irish War of Independence based on how we taught we beat the british but we lost, as it was split in two and how De Valera asked for Michael Collins to be killed in an ambush and it was De Valera feeling like he had lost and how in his mind it was Collins "well now you've won" how the Irish telling the British how our plan was better than theirs "how your plan is better than ours" it sounds like mumford & sons where their that day, and they must have Irish roots if they can sing a song bout something that has long since past and make it sound as if it was yesterday |
