I think this song is about Ben's personal history of not believing in Jesus. Then suddenly believing. I remember myself, being in that same situation. Where I sorta felt like I was to "smart" and had my own brain, for me to believe in God, let alone the idea of Jesus Christ, Him rising and being my savior. This song is a HUGE testimony. It's so hard to explain not believe then suddenly believing. Its just the way that he is now, it's the work of Jesus. Nothing you can actually explain, its just the way he is now. Can't explain it. That's Christ. It's Christ that brings you to Him, nothing you can do or someone else can do. To this day I don't know how I became a Christ follower. I hated those religious folk that wanted to judge me. And turn me into something I'm not. I love the verses he sings, because it sorta highlights a life in Christ. Your heart won't be right and you will fall HARD if its all about religious ways. But if its all about hope, love, His glory. That's all you need. |
