I like the Beatles, Pink Floyd and finding double meanings for everything :)
| Gary Numan – Complex Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| An anti-social lifestyle, that's how Gary described most of his life, and 'Complex' captures that statement perfectly. The meaning of it is quite simple, you just have to listen closely, even to the instrumentals. | |
| Gary Numan – Bridge? What Bridge? Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Nonsense is quite fun to listen to, I mean, take Pink Floyd in the 60s for example. | |
| Gary Numan – Bombers Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
It's about bombing and how people react to it. It's also about the devastation it causes. The song can be summed up in one verse: "A tiny girl screams for mother And wanders out into the street I saw her going down underneath A thousand people's running feet" |

| Gary Numan – Metal Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I've always thought of the song being about a robot (or 'Humanoids' as I like to call them) becoming 'aware'. Basically just realizing its not human and is, in fact, just an Artificial Intelligence. The song comes from the viewpoint of a Humanoid whom is 'aware', and they're talking about what they're finally realizing about themselves. | |
| Gary Numan – We Are Glass Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
I think it's about how fragile people are. "We are young We can break Watch us fall..." What Gary is trying to say is all people are fragile. If you try hard enough you can make them 'break'. |

| Gary Numan – Cars Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
I think it's about someone who's just very paranoid. ''Here in my car I feel safest of all I can lock all my doors It's the only way to live In cars'' Judging just by the first verse, it sounds like someone who doesn't like the outside world and is very paranoid about it. Hence the reason why he's staying in his car. |

| Pink Floyd – Echoes Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
Let me say, I love this song. It's always been a favorite of mine. Now, personally I think it's about 2 people who meet, but 1 of them leaves, judging by the line "So I throw the windows wide and call to you across the sky." I think it means 1 of them is trying to call out to the other, but they only get echoes in response. Honestly I do think it's quite a far shot from the actual meaning. |

| Pink Floyd – Chapter 24 Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
''The time is with the month of Winter solstice, when the change is due to come." This line has always intrigued me, because it could shed some light on the whole December 21st the world is ending rumor. "The time is with the month of Winter solstice," December 21st is actually the day of the Winter solstice, and December is always the month of this event. "when the change is due to come." This 'change' can mean a lot of things. Maybe it could be a change in our way of living, or an Apocalypse-like event could happen or maybe even - going along with the rumor - the end of the world. One thing I do know is the song was based off the Chinese text, I Ching. |
