The song is obviously about past beef we had with our old band Woe, Is Me. Not really much to say about the song, each line is self explanatory and its more so like a diss track. However, we said WHATEVER and now we are getting on with our lives. I will explain the title of the song comes from a more late period of time that Michael was still in the band, when the band had a tour crisis due to the tour manager’s health and had to stay located in Amarillo TX for a couple days. The relationships in the band became extremely dismantled and there was a “King” during those days who made the stay extremely miserable for others. |

This song is very power vocal driven. Its basically a song that represents the hardships of unconditional love. When you love someone unconditionally its almost impossible to let them go. No matter what they put you through, no matter how hard they make life for you, or how much happiness they deprive you of, you still do everything to be there, and you always come back. It’s hard to walk away completely from someone once you establish love. Some people are stuck in roller coaster relationships that they just can’t escape because they become co dependent on the other person. This song basically opens you up to the pros and cons. One of these days you’ll push me away, turn around, it’ll be too late. Or maybe not, maybe you’ll stay stuck. Bottom line, each song we write is based on reality. This is reality, whether it sounds right written out or not, that’s life, and this is how we are as humans. It’s the beating of a broken drum. |

Her monologue is very complex when it comes to the meaning within the song. There are a lot of people in this world that miss out on great opportunities because they are more afraid of failing than they are of just trying. I like to think of this as being afraid to dream, or being afraid of your own dreams because of the fear of failure. It’s like everytime you grow an ounce of courage to chase something you love, you choke up and you suffocate yourself with anxieties and you create scenarios in your head of all the things that could go wrong. The song is pretty metaphorical. Being afraid to dream or being terrified of your own personal dreams; think of it like being afraid to fall asleep because you hate facing the dreams you know you’ll never achieve or be brave enough to even try. You do everything you can to keep yourself awake at all costs, you dare not face the thoughts at all. You take aderol, you sleep with countless people, one night stands, anyone who will come over to keep you awake, you have Issues with commitment and you just become manic depressive over these fears. Well guess what you have to fall asleep sometime, and you have to dream. There’s no escaping it, youre killing yourself by holding back. By that I don’t mean youre physically killing yourself I just mean if you aren’t taking chances and you aren’t following your dreams, then are you really even living at all? Don’t hold back in life. I’d rather fail a few times than sit around and feel worthless, because end the end that’s what causes failure. |
