Maybe this is a song about a dude helping his friend give up drugs. "All sound and visions are What they ask of me" We didnt come this far Just to turn around We didn't come this far Just to run away Just ahead We will hear the sound The sound that gives us A brand new day There he is falling again. But his friend tries to save him, and tells him that their almost done... Also, that scene when Potter helped Dumbledore to drink the water in the 6th movie, and he was screaming for help because of the hallucinations it gave him... works either way |

Fuck this shit. This is a love song. Or tragedy-love. He loves this chick, but shits going nowhere, theyre stuck, and its time to break up, or quickly do something about it. They're talking about it, first Dave talks about him, then about her, and how he feels shes just so much better than him. Then he talks about the relationship status, he doesn't care, if she doesn't care. Its just a matter of time They break up "and tho I hate to rewind" - Shit happened in the past. The conversation carries on, he talks about his past, and how it is a burden, and how it will take them nowhere. "Nowhere seems like somewhere to go" I can translate it to "fuck it, we're gonna break up anyways. The next part, maybe he talks about how they blame each other for the things that happen, "Prisioners to share a cell with" They're both guilty, they share the same cell, for the same crimes. Hes holding on to her, because they love each other, but the relationship is coming to an end. Then the too bridges are like the fight between them. "Where the hell are you?" Where have you been, you are not this person, I miss the old you. "What does it matter now, its just a matter of time" Again, Fuck this Shit, we're gonna break up anyways. |

As a musician, I can relate this song to a lack of inspiration. Hes searching for his muse "Run and tell all of the angels This could take all night Think I need a devil to help me Get things right" - I can't write a thing, I Need inspiration Maybe the "Hook me up a new Revolution" part is talking about how he feels this genre, or "revolution" has died, or is just no good for him. "We sat around laughin and watch the last one die" We took this as a joke, and had fun as we watched other bands disappear. The Chorus is very obvious. He desperately looks for inspiration, looking to the sky, looking for stuff in his head (sign of life) looking for something help him blast his ideas off his head. "Looking for a complication, looking cause im tired of trying" he's so sick of not writing anything good, he seeks for something to distract him from doing that. "Make my way back home when I learn to fly" I'm going to bed/home when i finish this shit. "Think I'm done nursing the patience I can wait one night I'd give it all away If you give me one last try" He's tired, he won't write anything till tomorrow, but then... "We live happily ever trapped If you just save my life Run and tell the angels That everything is all right" He finds his muse, a girl, and everythings fine. Finally, the "Fly along with me, I cant quite make it alone, I try to make this life my own" part, is about how he can't finish his song, without her, and needs her in his life. |
