This song to me seems to be explaining the consequences of manipulating people and messing with other people's emotions and what can happen when repeatedly lying to someone, leading them to believe something that isn't true. Later, the person who was lied to finds out the truth and I think this song is expressing the anger that that person feels about being manipulated and lied to. To him, it's like a cruel and fatal game, hence the name... That's what get out of it, anyway. |

This song seems to mean a lot of different things. But I think that it's mainly talking about all the corrupt attorneys in the world who defend and free murderers and rapists. Also, it's about the media and how they publicize horrible things like murders or things like the shooting in the elementary school in Connecticut hence the lyrics 'The parasitic devastation seen on your TV screen.' Also to a certain extent in talks about just bad people in general and all the criminals and murderers in the world... The world has definitely gone insane. |

From what I heard in an interview, this song is about when David Draimen was 16 and his girlfriend at the time committed suicide. At his girlfriend's funeral, David Draimen said that he could here the devil speaking to him, encouraging him to commit suicide as well to be with his girlfriend (Devon) again. The lyrics are basically what the devil was saying to him. |

I think this song can be interpreted in many different ways, but to me it sounds like it's describing the thoughts of a person after someone that they loved had died and they feel like it's their fault. They can't escape the feeling of guilt that they feel all the time and the memories and images of their death always haunt them and they just want to escape from it. Maybe they feel like they're going insane in a way because of their feelings and thoughts and they feel like they're 'living a lie' in an Asylum of some kind. Or maybe this song could be describing the lasting feelings a soldier feels after killing so many people in war. Those are just my ideas, and I understand that a lot of other people may dissagree with me. Just thought I would share my opinion :) |
