"But I will die for my own sins thanks a lot
We’ll raise up ourselves thanks for nothing at all"

The Bible says that Christ died for ALL our sins. This includes homosexual acts and thoughts. Everyone has their own sin battle. If yours is homosexuality related issues, fine...It's something you have to struggle with to avoid. Just as someone with addictions and other thoughts have to battle with. We all have our own struggle. No sin is worse than another. That's Biblical Truth. Men struggle with lusting after other women - nor more of a sin than a man lusting after another man.

I'm hoping this isn't a hateful lyric toward Christians, b/c I like their music, but it's impossible for a Christian to separate anit-Christian sentiment from pure entertainment b/c people look up to popular musicians and actually derive a lot of their belief system from their lyrics. I can't support someone who is preaching such things to the masses.

I won't listen to this song b/c of this, unless I hear what he means by this. Otherwise, I like the rest of the band's stuff.

I believe from knowing the History of the Band that this is one of the phases that went through in grieving. It could even be interpreted as the soundtrack to a portion of part of Job's life in the Book of Job. Job is an example to us all.

The above is all Old Testament that was chronologically done away with by God. Please don't pull verses out of context of Biblical Truths as a whole. This leads to beliefs like those of Westboro Baptist Church (www.godhatesfags.com/). The Blood of Christ figuratively covers all of us who accept Christ as our Savior so God sees no sin in us. Thus, after Christ's death, all who believe were saved from sin. Hard to swallow, but believers' will study this truth until their dying breath. No one who is in Christ, I believe, will commit heinous sins. They may come to Christ after committing these sins, but those in Christ simply cannot do it. It's hard to believe that murderers are in heaven, but sin is never ranked in the Bible. Sin is Sin. The only misconceptions of ranking of sin was brought about by the Catholic Church with no Biblical backing.

Please refer to the Book of Job: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Job.

This song may have been exactly how Job felt.

M. Shadows saw the viewpoints of the people of Westboro Baptist Church (www.godhatesfags.com/). We Christians LOATHE people who hide under a blanket calling themselves "christians" to spread their hate. They realize they will get more publicity by calling themselves Christians, b/c like it or not, people in our country like to bash the religion and point to Westboro Baptist as a representation of the belief. This is like allowing the White Supremacist Aryan Nation represent all white people. Westboro Baptist beliefs are completely isolated and account for an insanely low percentage of Christians (like 0.0000000000001%) and sadly they get publicity b/c of their craziness. They also protest funerals of soldiers, among other things (see their website). They are "out there" and have ZERO Biblical backing. It's almost as if they read the story of Sodom and Gomorrah and based their complete ideology on that. That's like reading only the parts of the constitution created prior to the year 1800. What would our country look like if out constitution solely consisted of that? Someone named Jesus Christ came along and is THE ULTIMATE AUTHORITY of Christianity. Read Christ's teachings and tell me how their viewpoint is Christian. Don't ever let that Church represent Christians...they are an aberration to any other Christ followers. I hate that the band had to go through this, but the point of our Faith is that the greatest joy you ever feel or the greatest sadness you ever feel in the flesh is infinitely microscopic compared to the joys of eternal life with God/Christ (Heaven) or the sadness of eternal life with the absence of God (Hell). I pray for the band in their sadness and loss and that they know and find the Truth that is accompanied by peace in their hearts!
