@[Trent_is_here:25375] Two reasons: 1) the soundtracks producers like the melody and sound 2)Toad the Wet Sprocket were on the A&M indie label which was the label for the soundtrack as well.They were promoting their artists. That's why a lot of good songs are not on the official soundtrack.

I do like the song. I feel it's something I can relate to: being an artist and pariah in society. I love the sound of the song and most of the time I like her subversive attitude towards labels. However, as "punk rock" as it is to be controversial, I still feel uncomfortable with the use of THAT word. I like the ideas this song suggests...it's just not a song I will be singing at the top of my lungs. |

She often changes the lyrics live. So while "I will tear the petals off of you" is correct for the recorded version, she has said " I would tear the devil out of you," when in concert. |
