Snow Patrol – Set the Fire to the Third Bar Lyrics 13 years ago
"They're lovers in two different places, miles apart. They cherish the memories they made while they were together. Later in the song, it says something about travelling so far. They're together again" Yes! The warmth and name of the song is "Set the fire to the third bar" refers to love and passion, 3rd bar is max setting on a old fashion heater.

This song is awesome b/c it illustrates, the lack of something really increasing the desire for it. ("Always toward absent lovers love's tide stronger flows." - poet Sextus Propertius.

Great song to send to someone you really want that's currently far from you.

Andrew Bird – Fatal Shore Lyrics 13 years ago
My take on this is an open question on whether or not two potential lovers should move forward that are currently far far away. He emphasizes this via lines "When are you coming to shore (?)", coupled with the line "Breathing it out" is a signal that the desired outcome is that the two meet, an exhale when a resolution is reach i.e. two lovers meet.

There is a obvious fork in the road where a decision has to be made and "fear & doubt" portion is to highlight the uncertainty that contrasted the 2 paths. 1) Inaction and maintaining a steady course where the two people will never meet and fade 2) Reunion where the invitation is fulfilled. Obviously, the latter is the desired outcome.
