This song is about guilt and denile. It says we feel guilt for our sins and we feel terrible, but still deny it anyhow. Plain and Simple. |

| This'll feed the mother of all our interpretations. This song is about how people are just waiting for the next big discovery to prove God wrong, but disregard the facts proving Him. It talks of how we beg scientist for the next clue because the non-beilvers themselves, no matter how much they despise religion, are insecure in their own beliefs and need more and more evidence. | |
| Chevelle – A New Momentum Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Christians are fueled by our creator and converting non-believers, non-believers are fueled by corrupting worship of a false base, or "eradicating" Christianity. Like KrakenAttack said, the lions refer to Romans feeding Christians to lions. And when it's saying "When all will fall" it means both sides are "racing to the finish," or the end of the world, trying to (with a grain of salt) win. | |
| Chevelle – Roswell's Spell Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| The song is about men wanting or "needing" a higher cause in life. We can't settle for less we want more. In reference to God, we are always searching for ways to prove or disprove him. Some say that if there are aliens, then there can be no God (Which isn't true in any case) but "Are we really seeing anything?" | |

| *Another note I failed to mention, God is displayed as the UFO in the cover art just like Kain is the skeleton... =D | |

Eveyone is taking the album title way to far. None of these songs are about conspiracy theory, they are about sins! When Kain killed Abel, he hid behind a tree, the skeleton in the art. God came down from the heavens and asked "Kain, why do you hide? Where is your brother?" "Sci-Fi Crimes" literal interpretation is "Sins against a higher being" or God! The song is about searching for God everywhere, but not truly believing you'll ever find him. "Before we forget/ Save this Unaging Proof" refers back to "Jars" saying we are turning the entire world over for proof but the Earth is the Unaging Proof of a higher being, Intelligent Design, and our savior, Jesus Christ. |

I think this is being over-thought. The song is essentially about fighting a point with someone who believes the dead-wrong opposite. It says that when or "If you ever enter my mind/ Stay there, you'll live" because this is the true path in which I walk and I know it is right. When you finally see this, you will know I'm not crazy and be in the same position I am. |

Ok, Guys.... Ponies got closest but I think this interpretation will put others and anymore to rest, but I've been wrong before. Here it goes... The song is about the integration of science into school ciriculums. "Somehow we're sent by fools/ No better when we're lost" means that these teachers are using a method not to prove but trip you into believing in evolution. "I fell into your shoes/ But only one" Says that teachers 'understand' that we are believers but don't put forth effort to fortify our beliefs. Moreover, the verse says that "I understand, but I don't really care." The second stanza explains how evil this is. "Hopeful senseless sins/ gathering clues," menaing eventhough they have no solid proof of anything, they'll trick you anyways. Fourth stanza is about those teachers with tenure now forcing their ideas on students and saying they are fact, no matter the holes or myths. Lastly, my favorite. The fifth stanza refers to Revelations, the last book in the New Testament. It tells of the Return of Christ, and that he died for our sins to bring the righteous with him to Paradise. The stanza explains all of that (Pay for Healing, our sins are washed clean, Eyes go Hollow, Crucifixion) and that the people who deny him will get what's coming, with "I fell into your shoes/ but only one" as God's response to them just the same as they had for students. Thanks! God Bless! |
