I think this song is about anorexia and bulimia and fighting it. And they may also possibly cut themselves. I tell my love to wreck it all Cut out all the ropes and let me fall My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my Right in the moment this order's tall ^This is about the girl fighting her ED telling herself to just let her give into the urges and not be cured or maybe become anorexic again. But she doesn't want that, she wants to get better but it's hard to fight. (this orders tall) And I told you to be patient And told you to be fine And I told you to be balanced And I told you to be kind ^This is the girl speaking to herself, like she needs to know that to do this she has to be patient, and find balance in her life and diet. In the morning I'll be with you But it will be a different "kind" I'll be holding all the tickets And you'll be owning all the fines ^This is the girl and the ED again. She'll wake up with the ED urging her to just give in and stop eating, to quit and let her suffer. So it's a different kind because it'd be nice to give up cause it'd be easier but it'd also be killing her literally. And she's (holding all the tickets) making the decisions about what she's going to eat and not eat. And her body is the one who's going to suffer/gain from her decisions. And she's sullen because of her distorted body image so she's depressed and wants this all to go away (the ED) but it's slow to split. And now I'm breaking at the britches And at the end of all your lines ^She's saying that her ED is being wasted because she's getting better. And she's confused and doesn't know what's happening with her. Who will love you? Who will fight? Who will fall far behind? ^And this is like her ED speaking. Like who's always going to be there to push you to be thin now? And who will fight for you when you go over your calorie take to only drink water the next day or whatever? And who is going to follow you around every where you go? Almost like the ED is trying to be her friend. Like idek. Honestly it makes a lot of sense in my mind. And it relates to me atm because of this. I just can't get the words out. |

I think this is about like someone's life- cause it describes mine. "Nothin' goes as planned. Everything will break. People say goodbye. In their own special way." Is about losing someone, maybe a friend or having someone you loved die. "All that you rely on And all that you can fake Will leave you in the morning But find you in the day" It's pretending everything's okay when really your whole world is crashing down onto you. The chorus says that through all this there's this one person who will always be there and you love them for that. They're in your veins. "Everything will change. Nothin' stays the same. And nobody here's perfect. Oh but everyones to blame." This is like watching everything around you change someway, everyday somethings different. And everyone in your world makes it change and has the blame for something- whether good or bad- in your world. "Everything is dark. It's more than you can take. But you catch a glimpse of sun light. Shinin', Shinin' down on your face." This part is when you are in a low area again, where everything's wrong, but you find this one person and they're your light in a world of darkness. |
