In the first part, of Moons, there's a chick who is left there alone, after causing the death of the dude, who is at the hole getting sucked out. It's pretty futile, all the hitting walls in anger or wishing for things to be better or have gone better, but she's the only one there. She can't get stuck on watching for a rescue ship, both literally and for herself. Birds if of the view of the dude. He's watching her go through her mental turmoil; the want for fresh air and outsideness when on the moon. It's empty out there, she can't handle it. He doesn't blame her, 'even a bird' would. When the door hatch opens, he trusts her to close the door before it's too late for him; he can wait until she's momentarily better to go back on opening that door. Then it's stressed that, ironically against his own words, he ended up dying. Monsters. The story of all of what just happened needs to get out somehow, and it's easier to bastardize the true story to get people to know than try to write about it. |
