| Sonic Youth – Making The Nature Scene Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| Yeah! This song is criticizing the social darwinism, one of the capitalism's bases. I really love this song, just because of this deep meaning! | |
| Iceage – Everything Drifts Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| srsly? I didn't know it! I really thought they were homophobics. | |

"Fodder for the animals Living on animal farm" I think this is a reference to the book Animal Farm by Orwell |

| um... sorry... but nope | |
| Iceage – Everything Drifts Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| It can be interpreted as a homophobic song, even though I know Iceage stated that the band is not neo-nazi shit. | |
| M.I.A. – Teqkilla Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I don't give a fuck to the critics. Never do it. /\/\/\Y/\ is masterpiece, I really love it. It was the first time I listened to some M.I.A.'s work and I loved al the chaotic-anti-pop-experimentalisms. Actually, to me, /\/\/\Y/\ is better than all her other materials. (Yes, I can be killed by saying this, but it's what i think. Problem?) | |

| Bonaparte – Too Much Lyrics | 12 years ago |

Well, he logic purely is it, but I wouldn't assume that this is for a girl. It's a satiric song about people who are overproud of knowing too much. |
|
| Crystal Castles – Baptism Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
i don't think it's a song against religious itself either i think it's a metaphor that means our system is like a religious, y'know, we are forced to follow values and truths |
|
| The Ting Tings – Hands Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| This is an anti-capitalist song. It's kinda disappointing see that people don't understand this one and keep saying this shit "clap your hands if you are playing FIFA 12" on youtube. | |
| Sonic Youth – Early American Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| This is about colonization. Such a amazing song, it fits in Brazil history too. | |
| Sleigh Bells – Comeback Kid Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
Everytime I listen to this song, I remember Gasai Yuno (from Mirai Nikki). Am I the only one who does? Seriously, the lyrics are kinda tsundere and stuff. If it could be one's theme, it would be Gasai's. |

| Shit! This is about me... | |
| Two Door Cinema Club – Something Good Can Work Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
It sounds like it's about a girl that takes the work/studies too much seriously in order to get money. She probably follows that capitalist statement: be the best to get as much money as you can. So, the first person tries to convince her that money is not everything in life and that something good can work without this. Just for the record: I'm not saying this is a song against working hard, obviously. This is all about a person that has a capitalist dream, that dreams of getting rich and not of getting happy. |

| Sleigh Bells – Never Say Die Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
Well, I think this is about a relationship between two people with different beliefs. The second person hates the first one because of his lack of faith. "Or wake up, or break up" According to the narrator, the second person is manipulated by religion. So, if that person "wake up" to reality, they won't "break up". "Above it’s their time Down here it’s our time" It proves the persona's lack of faith. |

| Cansei de Ser Sexy – Off The Hook Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| It's about embarassing moments. | |
| Tamaryn – Love Fade Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This is probably about love confusing. The narrator sometimes is in love, sometimes not. It's about having a mind that varies the feelings often, so it provokes confusion. | |

| Sonic Youth – I Don't Want To Push It Lyrics | 13 years ago |

I like the appearance of antithesis in the song. Just like: "borrow" and "steal"; "fell in the line" and "fell in the jail"; "live in the light" and "die in the night". I think it was purposeful. |
|
| Sonic Youth – She Is Not Alone Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Well, I think there isn't what to comment about this one~ | |
| Sonic Youth – The Burning Spear Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Probably this is about being afraid of the world, once the TV shows us everyday terrible things and we end up being overly afraid of be killed, stalked and all this kind of things... Isn't it right? | |
| Sleigh Bells – True Shred Guitar Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
In this song, they're talking about their new musical style. They foresaw that their fans wouldn't like the style change, so they made this. It's also relationed to album's title: Reign of Terror. It's a reference to Russian Revolution. Basically, the guys meant to say they would kill the opposition (people who wouldn't like the new album). |

|
correct lyrics: "please don’t answer my call cause i just couldn’t stand it at all if you were any less than you at your best when you hear my song on the radio will your teary eyes be covered by the catchy parts that go i miss you, i miss you all over the refrain it’s a different kind of love by the same name i see you, i see you time and again in my dreams i’m with you, i’m with you frame by frame it’s a different kind of love by the same name baby says he’s crying but stays i can see it all over your face so if you’re down, just find me around i’m on the corner, i’m in your car i’m waiting for you with open arms you said i’d be growing up instead i’ve taken so long now i’ve found a different way to go it’s never been so easy, you never tried so hard to please me i miss you, i miss you all over the refrain it’s a different kind of love by the same name i see you, i see you time and again in my dreams i’m with you, i’m with you frame by frame it’s a different kind of love by the same name baby says he’s crying but stays i can see it all over your face it’s never been so easy, you never tried so hard to please me" |

| Gregory and the Hawk – Leaves Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
The correct lyrics: "I I love love the way you look at me me (3x) I I love love the way you look at me I I cry cry when you turn to leave leave (3x) I I cry cry when you turn to leave Oh my head of stone - you got me going I've got a heart of gold - but I am somewhat slower It could have taken a lifetime - what you got in a nighttime - But I I love love the way you look at me me I I love love the way you look at me I I love love the way you look at me me I I love love the way you look at me We ate our souls of passion And so you may be asking - what more could I say - If you could read my mind why don't you ask me yesterday? Cause I I cry cry when you turn to leave leave I I cry cry when you turn to leave (2x)" |
|
| Gregory and the Hawk – Over and Over Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
The correct lyrics are: "I heard a method That you could use Let's call this dreaming I could choose for you And in this way You won't decide it There's no in-vain And no in-side You can have All that you want Over and over You picked a stone You loved a girl who lives in parrallels You take it out You try it on to wear it well I heard a method That you could use Let's call it dreaming I could choose for you Over and over" |
|
| Mew – Introducing Palace Players Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
In my opinion, this is about someone that has a lot of problems in home and, because of it, wants to go away from home, or wants to do something that was said as a "resolution" to the problems. But this resolution is "broken" anyway. "In a word, / You were told / That it'd fix your shaky home. / And what got made / Was broken, too." Obviously, the narrator tries to convince the other person to stay at home and to try turn the things better. The two people end up fighting in the process. ( I interpreted that way because it reminds me a lot of my best friend =/ ) |
|
| Mew – New Terrain Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
The persona says HIS girlfriend* (Sorry, I'm not that good in english.) |
|
| Mew – New Terrain Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
This song talks about the same thing as in the song "Nervous". The persona says her girlfriend has been stalked by someone else. That "someone else" is making them "lose terrain". Because of the stalking, the relatioship is getting tough. (Obviously.) When is said "first we gain new terrain", what is meant is "going to somewhere far from the stalker". Well... I think this is it. |
|
| Mew – Tricks of the Trade Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
Great interpretation. I think the persona doesn't want to have the girl as his girlfriend, but he keeps doing it because she depends on him (once there are problems in her family). So, he wants to help her in despite of not wanting to be her boyfriend. |

| Mew – Vaccine Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
I think it's about a very very sick girl that lost her vision. She's suffered an awful accident, but she didn't die, she "only" lost her vision. Her friends even made a joke thinking it wasn't truth. But it was. She's entered in dispair because of the vision she's lost and started behaving unfairly with her friends. As they weren't giving a damn to her. Well... I think it's about this. |

| Sleigh Bells – Crush Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
This song is about hating a girl that seems overly well-behaved. Probably the persona hates her because, though she seems a well-behaved girl, she is not. "I gotta crush on I gotta crush you" She probably is a popular girl and she goes bullying the persona. Besides that, the persona crushs ON her, but hate it in fact. So he wants to crush her. |
