This song is about the work of George Orwell on the Spanish civil war. La Ramblas is a street in the centre of Barcelona where the bourgeois walked around disguised as peasants "Gravity keeps my head down Or is it maybe shame At being so young and being so vain" I walked down La Ramblas in the late 90s after hearing this song and it was full of young alternative kids selling weed, probably rebelling against their middle class parents. |
