Passion Pit – It's Not My Fault, I'm Happy Lyrics 10 years ago
Along with many other people in this song, I think that the whole song is about bipolar disorder. I think the chorus refers to the two sides of himself. If you listen, it sounds like there are two voices singing for most of the song. There is even a "call and response" part of the chorus where he says "it's not fair" back and forth.

The whole song shows consequences to relationships and friendships because of this disorder, and the two sides of him that he only sees fighting with eachother.

Panic! at the Disco – Collar Full Lyrics 10 years ago
Don't know if I'm right, but this is my interpretation of the song, from the perspective of someone who has been in love with a girl:

"We've waited so damn long, we're sick and tired"
He's saying he's felt this way for awhile, and can't wait any longer to tell her how he feels, the possibility of a relationship has waited for so long.

"I won't leave any doubt or stone unturned"
He can't go on without telling her how he feels, and needs to know whether or not she feels that way, aka he won't leave any stone unturned.

"I've got a collar full of chemistry from your company"
He feels something with her, they always have a good time together.

"So maybe tonight I'll be the libertine"
A libertine, being reckless, he wants to tell her how he feels, regardless of the consequences.

"Show me your love, your love
Gimme more but it's not enough"
He wants her to love him in the same way he loves her, he feels it's not enough

"Show me your love, your love
Before the world catches up"
Not exactly sure what he means by "before the world catches up," but perhaps it's a love that is looked down on society, and he wants her to show him her love before the rest of the world disapproves it and gets to her head.

"'Cause there's always time for second guesses, I don't wanna know"
If she's having doubts, or second guesses, he doesn't want her to think about it now.

"If you're gonna be the death of me, that's how I wanna go"
He feels that the pain of being rejected is worth not telling her, and even if it kills him, it was worth it.

"You've got it all worked out with so little time"
Perhaps she's already with someone in this verse, and she feels as if she's already planned her life, but he knows that she's moving to fast in so little time.

"Memories that I'd blackout if you were mine"
He's saying if he were her, he would forget the other guy because she's not good for him.

"You've got a pocket full of reasons why you're here tonight"
He's saying that she's here with the singer, spending time with him and not the other guy for a reason.

"So, baby, tonight just be the death of me"
A reference to the chorus, he is going to tell her how he feels, even if it is the death of him.

Beautiful song.

I think the correct lyric is "Maul the world like the carnival bear set free"

Bruce Springsteen – Down in the Hole Lyrics 12 years ago
If I'm correct, this song is one of the two songs that didn't make the setlist of The Rising (2002). You can tell that this is a post 9/11 song from some of the lines:

"Radio's crackling with the headlines, wind in the phone lines" - Could refer to all the headlines and news that took place after the incident. The phone lines could refer to all the calls to distressed family members

"Dark and bloody autumn pierces my heart" - This may refer to the autumn that took place after 9/11 in 2001

"I got nothing but hard blue sky and sunshine, the things you left behind" - Just like "You're Missing" from The Rising, this can refer to the loss of a loved one in the 9/11 attacks.

Great song, I wonder why it didn't make the cut for The Rising.

Coldplay – Hurts Like Heaven Lyrics 12 years ago
Along with Alfie86, not only is it about how the lover feels and what graffiti means to him, but he's trying to show his girlfriend what he feels. Even though this isn't mentioned in the lyrics, it's possible that maybe he's hoping that she feels the same way he does when he does graffiti.

Feels like a refreshing love song from the much conflict there is on this new album....reminds me of "Strawberry Bubblegum" from the counterpart album.

rockslider summed it up very well. After reading his post, all the lyrics came together to make sense, and now it's hard to see it any other way.

Rob Thomas – natural Lyrics 12 years ago
It could also be about not specifically the end, but throughout the whole relationship, both partners aren't really into each other, which is why it's "only natural" for them to wait for the end of their relationship.

Bruce Springsteen – 57 Channels Lyrics 12 years ago
I agree with Xrandy in that the "57 Channels" represents having everything, but there being "nothin' on," that represents that the love he has for his wife is nothing. He's got the house, the car, and importantly the TV, but there being nothing on the TV to enjoy, there is no love for him to enjoy.
