i think this song is about a girl who self harms, and is really depressed. this might be slightly biassed but i think the reasons for self harm ahve to do with her home life. in the way that the song is called "little house", it could be about the trapped enclosed feeling of a chaotic family in a house. and "take it back to where it all began" could be implying the question of where did this start like what made her not open up, and the "No one expects you to get up All on your own with no one around" could mean a family thats not very supportive of her, they don't pay attention to her (all on your own no one around) or expect her to get up. and lastly the thing shes trying to forget could be family trauma. but its just an idea. |

| this is not about a boy, or music, or any of that its about her. this song is most deffinitely about her childhood and maybe young adult hood, about all the other girls who feel the same way. it is about parents who are selfish and dependant and need her and she takes care of them and forgets about herself. its about realizing that you cant do that to yourself, you have to love and thats all you can do, not take on jobs or responsibilitys you shouldnt have to. | |

i wrote she instead of he for a lot of this accidentaly i know its not a girl singer. and i think this song is about..well its complicated and hard to explain shortly but i guess if i had to i would say its about someone sort of realizing her parents screwed her over and used their power over her life and her deppendancy and loyalty against her. she realizes she has to be done. "Your subtleties They strangle me" ^the sublties meaning them sort of dropping hints at each other, and when she trys to talk about it they act like she doesnt know what shes talking about. "I can't explain myself at all" ^they make her think this is the way things are and use big words and get her tounge tied. and almost brainwash her into thinking shes a dumb little girl. and she starts to believe it. "And all that wants And all that needs All I don't want to need at all" ^ how her parents make her feel bad for needing them but there her parents and kids arent supposed to feel bad for asking things from there parents. their not taking care of her and she trys not to need them. "The walls start breathing My mind's un-weaving" ^she feels crazey because they can switch from being her parents to her being theres, and they need her then an hour later they treat her like a little girl who doesnt know what shes talking about. her perception of reality gets confused and she feels crazey. "Maybe it's best you leave me alone" ^realizes she cant be close to them because of how unstable they are and how much they mess with her. "A weight is lifted On this evening I give the final blow" ^she decides shes done with there games and there fights and being in the middle of them and shes out. "A falling star Least I fall alone" ^she realizes its ok for her to be in a bad place, as long as its her, she cant be tied to there emotions and be pulled into what ever they feel like a yo-yo. "I can't explain what you can't explain Your finding things that you didn't know" ^they apoligize for depending on her and putting her in the middle and they didnt know it made her so upset. but there her parents. they told her all she should know. she shouldnt have to realize her situation is unfair, they told her all she knows, why shouldnt they know thats not how you treat people. "I look at you with such disdain" ^she realizes how selfish they are. and how much she resents them for the way they used her and confused her and how they made her feel like shit. "Now I'm on my own side It's better than being on your side" ^she cant be responsible for there emotions (like the falling star line) and not let them talk her into ideas and make her feel crazey. "It's my fault when you're blind It's better that I see it through your eyes" ^sarcasm, and shes saying they are the ones who told her everyhting she should know in life and they were supposed to take care of her and they didnt and they blame her for not knowing they were putting her in a bad position. and shes done looking at how they treat her from there perspective. "When darkness turns to light It ends tonight It ends tonight" ^shes done being in the middle of there fights and taking care of them. "Just a little insight will make this right" ^listening to them make excuses and give there perspetive and tell her why they act the way they doesnt make it ok for them to treat her like that. "It's too late to fight It ends tonight It ends tonight" ^she realizes she has to be done, caring about there emotions and actions and passive agressive hints towards each other being in there fights trying to mend her family while they treat her like a kid then act like kids. she cant be dissapointed again or messed up again she will not let them do this anymore and she has the power to not do this. |

| i think this song is about girls drinking and partying, and how they looks so pretty and put togehter and fun and everyone wants to be like them but really their kind of alone and sad and they just do crazey things together and tahts what their friendship is, and when she gets sent away (in real life lana del rey got sent to boarding school when she was 15) she knows shes never going to see them again because there not reallly her friends there just times and adventures. | |
