Isn't she saying "take me to Tattoo" tho? As in a Star Trek reference. Lol, anyways I agree with you Evilcatdog. A lot of this music has been discarded as superficial dance garbage with no substance at all. I've just recently discovered that there's a lot more to these simple '90s rave/trance songs other than the purpose to make people jump up and down to a beat. An ongoing theme is this emptiness which this song resembles so well, which made me look up whether anyone else had this (what I thought was) a farfetched idea that this song resembles something deeper and extremely melancholic. All these songs from this era have this horrifically sad aftertaste, which makes perfect sense, really. Something superficially joyful with some subconscious notion that life sucks and we're all aware, seems like a perfectly appropriate way of communicating with lost souls on mdma. |
