Makes no sense in context. She is saying it is hell to have to ask someone to love you. |

| Just chiming in to say something not really related to the lyrics, but some random information because it's always fun to learn! The sacrifice was a foreshadowing of the coming Messiah spoken about in the Old Testament being slaughtered for the sins of the world (the O.T. is FILLED with foreshadowings like this). This "lamb" had to be clean, which is why a clean, spotless animal was always called for. (Not saying children have never done wrong - just remember, it's a foreshadowing, not an exact illustration.) Therefore, the scenario you came up with when misunderstanding the lyrics would make no sense; she would not be a better sacrifice at all. bit.ly/193eCGt | |

| Perhaps "High like" not "I like". Haha. | |

I can't believe no one's commented on this beautiful work yet. When I was younger, I would constantly wear out my So Real cassette tape by rewinding and repeating this heart-wrenching section over and over again. Mandy's obvious pain and Bonnie's fantastic acting chops showing her concern always moved me to tears. I think it's about drug use and suicide. |

She sings: "Crystal heaven..." In the ending: "I like helium balloons In an infinate sky Twinkling with diamonds When first our kisses sparked This was crystal heaven... Heaven..." |

Yeah, the "vacuum of God" sounds like the emptiness and separation he experienced ("Why have you forsaken me?"). The "goblet of me" is the cup with his 'blood' in it from "the side blow" where he was pierced. I'm not sure about the second verse. "I nursed you like a crown, hanging upside down...". Some believe Peter was martyred on an upside down cross. Perhaps the second verse is from his perspective? "half of a bit, - drown"? The "-" is a bleeped swear word, obviously. But I still don't get it. lol. These are the lyrics from her site, though. Copied exactly. "Tear a kiss / into a lie of bliss" Tear meaning 'to rip' perhaps... That sounds strange but maybe "turn (forcefully) a kiss into a lie of bliss"... Judas' kiss? This is too cryptic for my brain! I sometimes look up the words in the thesaurus to find what she could have meant by certain phrases... "World's void juice"... Void could mean "useless". World's useless juice. Juice... hmmm... creative juices = ideas? The world's useless ideas? Who is 'you'? Judas still? He can't hear the shouts from what he can't bear in the world's useless ideas that have been emptied by words??? My thinker box exploded. So ...I have no idea! |
