| In my opinion, this song is, plain and simple, about being used and pushed aside and then rebuilding. The beginning third of the song is clearly about being fed up with being used/abused. This part is reminiscent of Linkin Park's classic angsty songs. The middle section seems to represent a build up of emotion which leads to the decision to start from scratch and let go of the past. The final part of the song is the resolution of the song. It represents making that first step towards inner-peace. This song is a major turning point in the "storyline" of A Thousand Suns (an album meant to be listened to as a whole, not just as group of songs). | |
