MEANING- He is dead. The guy talking, the guy Thom is speaking for, is dead. I realized that at "Apparition comes, with a long and winning handsome smile. Wish that we could connect. Step into the void." He once loved the girl, but he has since passed away. She is seeking someone else, as the first three lines state. I believe she, his love interest, then commits suicide to be with him, and is happy in the end, hence "see that stretchy smile go right across your face". This song is very deep, and very hard to decipher. I hope my analysis proves to be useful. |
