| Really? This is one of my favorite interludes of all time and I've never got that its about a breakup, but the exact opposite; She's in love. Ms.Scott is sharing a personal, private feeling to an audience or just one person (the listener) that she feels for someone, and has not told him this exclusive feeling yet. She describes a feeling that's so good, so sweet, so joyous, she doesn't want to let go of it. | |

Jill kinda has as "O Harry" twist at the end here. At the beginning she's expressing her intimacy with her man by saying "This morning my man exclusively introduced me to some good extra loving". Jill is implying that only her man and no one else, is sharing this kind of special intimacy she describes. However, when she goes to the store and sees the cute girl at the counter, her insecurities and womanly intuition start getting to her. She tries to shake her doubts and act calm, but it is revealed that her intuition was right; the girl does know her man in some familiar way ("Raheem, right?") , presuming that Jill's loving intimacy with her man may not be as exclusive as she originally expressed at first ("right"). The next track, I think explains the next part of this storyline where Jill basically goes off on her lol. ("Sister girl, I know you don't understand, but you going have to understand he's my man now.") |
