| Bob Dylan – Went to See the Gypsy Lyrics | 3 months ago |
| @[pointlessIdentifier:54473] Jeez, why do people think pretty much every song (not just Dylan) has to be about drugs? | |

| @[Durvunuul:54400] Belated (by 8 years!) thanks for this info, and esp. the link. Very interesting connections to Chinese poems. | |
| Love – Old Man Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| Why in hell is this song credited to Sun Gyu Lee and Yoon Ah Kim (whoever they are?) when it was, of course, written by Love's Bryan MacLean. A great, great song by one of the band's two brilliant writers - the other being Arthur Lee, and certainly not Sun Gyu Lee! | |
| James Taylor – Sweet Baby James Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| @[eburr:4313] This is just idiotic. I'm sorry, but why do you people always have to fabricate drug references for everything? The 'horse' referred to is not heroin (which you can't even spell) but is, amazingly enough, a horse. The 'doggies' are not howling inmates but cattle - 'doggies' was cowhand slang for steers. And I suspect the frosting of the Berkshires wasn't coke but just plain old snow! | |

| Joni Mitchell – For The Roses Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
I heard it in the wind last night It sounded like applause Chilly now End of summer No more shiny hot nights It was just the arbutus rustling And the bumping of the logs And the moon swept down black water Like an empty spotlight If there's a better-written verse than this anywhere in popular music, then I've never seen it. A masterful song brought to a spine-tingling end. |

| Holy cow - really?!!! | |
| Toto – Africa Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Unbelievable load of bollocks! The song's called 'Africa', therefore it's "clearly about Vietnam"..........you are one sad idiot, man! | |
| Johnny Cash – I Walk the Line Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| What do you mean "his brother never died"? Read the autobiography - it's all in there. His brother's death was absolutely central to Cash's development as a man and as an artist. | |
