| Literally. Everything you wrote is what happened to me. It's amazing how we both had to deal with the same situation and how it ended the same way. My ex and I had been together for 2 years. His faith in God was so much stronger than mine when we first started going out. Then over the years it faded. I noticed but didn't really do anything but talk. I was the one trying to pick him back up but he just refused. He ended up not wanting to follow God at all. It seemed like God literally meant nothing to him. So I came about this song because he posted this on his facebook a couple weeks after we broke up. I searched the song meaning and your comment came up.
