It's a mixed combo of 3 things: This is what hippies look like. This is what hippies do. This is what it feels like when you're getting high. |

| Baha Men – Who Let the Dogs Out Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
This song was apparently a single, not part of an album, & it was used multiple times by Nickelodeon & Disney & once by the Jim Henson Company, so it was regarded as an innocent children's song about literal dogs crashing a party. The music video (which is as close to G-rated as they come) was a regular for Nickelodeon's age-appropriate music videos they were playing around commercial breaks at the time. |

I was in my teens when this song came out. For the most part, the song seems to be nonsensical rambling with no substance, just trying to make as many dog puns as they can for a song that may have been commissioned by Nickelodeon. Who let the dogs out = The usher let ugly men into the club. (The lyrics DO say that they're at a party, that the boys were calling names, & the girls were responding likewise). Woof woof woof = Seriously ugly. Skettell = Even on 2013 internet, I cannot find the definition for this Caribbean slang word. Walking through the place like digi-man = No goddamn clue, but there was a children's anime called Digimon on TV when this came out. |

| Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
From Wikipedia: "The band released a Greatest Hits cassette in Iran, a leaflet in Persian was included with translation and explanations (refers to a book published in Iran called "The March of the Black Queen" by Sarah Sefati and Farhad Arkani, which included the whole biography of the band and complete lyrics with Persian translation (2000)). In the explanation, Queen states that "Bohemian Rhapsody" is about a young man who has accidentally killed someone and, like Faust, sold his soul to the devil. On the night before his execution, he calls for God in Arabic, "Bismillah", and with the help of angels, regains his soul from Shaitan." Not surprising, since Freddie Mercury, or rather Farrokh Bulsara, was a Persian-Indian raised in Zanzibar & not quite as British as he claimed to be. |

| Depeche Mode – Everything Counts Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
I can just see it....If anyone ever remakes this song, there will be an explosion of parodies on Youtube where they keep the chorus the same & change the rest of the lyrics. It would be applied to Halloween, Black Friday, hoarding supplies during the zombie apocalypse, & at least one jackass would make it about sexually harassing voluptuous women. |

| A Flock of Seagulls – I Ran (So Far Away) Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
Step 1) Watch music video. Step 2) Listen to entire album & watch their videos. I shit you not....The entire album is about UFO sightings & alien abduction. It was probably meant as a joke, inspired by E.T., or they just really wanted a theme/gimmick. |

| Tom Petty – Free Fallin' Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
"All the vampires walkin' through the valley, move west down Ventura Blvd. And all the bad boys are standing in the shadows, and the good girls are home with broken hearts" Drug dealers in the alleys. Women are at home while the men are buying drugs, hoping the cops don't drive by. "I wanna glide down over Mulholland. I wanna write her name in the sky. I wanna free fall out into nothin'. Gonna leave this world for awhile." He's high. |

this girl is about to ruin this song for everybody...who isn't a gay man. Tall buildings shake (erections) Voices escape singing sad sad songs (sexual moaning) Tuned to chords strung down your cheeks Bitter melodies turning your orbit around Voices whine (sexual moaning) Skyscrapers are scraping together (Two guys rubbing their junk against eachother). Your voice is smoking (you soulnd hot) Last cigarettes are all you can get Turning your orbit around Our love is all we have (Sex is our only common interest). |

| Natalie Imbruglia – Torn Lyrics | 13 years ago |

Most of the song: I dated this guy, we drifted apart. "I'm torn...I'm all out of faith...This is how I feel...I'm cold and I am shamed...Lying naked on the floor..." She was raped. "You're a little late...I'm already torn..." You could have saved me if you were here. |
