this song is about the man I want but I am just friends with. I have slept in the same bed as him, stayed up all night with him at his house, listening to music til past dawn so the last verse is about our nights together. One thing though, it's not "so girl look it all up and bright" should be "so delicate our love and pride" - at least that's the way it is in the insert with the Rock Steady CD |

to me this song has to do with me and the life I am leading right now...partying with men other than my husband, kissing, touching, and having sex with them, some are friends of mine and my husband's and others are just random men. every morning (or afternoon) that i wake up after one of those nights, I regret what i have done, say I'm never doing it again, and try to change, but....I only feel that way until the next time my husband wants to just go to sleep on the couch and ignore me and there are male friends who want to go out with me. BK puts it nicely in an interview on ATO records website "...it's also about the negative side of partying and waking up the next day and being bummed out about what you did." |
